VIDEO TUTORIALS
Basic macrame is MUCH simpler than it looks! You'll want to start by learning a few basics knots, and then you'll be able to make your macrame bunting in no time. If you learn best through video, I've put together links to several videos that I hope are helpful.
Basic Knots
Learn some of the most common macrame knots before you begin. You won't need all of these knots for the macrame bunting project, but they are fun to learn!
Macrame Garland
Watch this tutorial to see the basics of how to set up your cords and begin tying them into the bunting shape. In the video, she finishes the edges with a fancy trim. Leave out the trim for younger children or beginners, or if you're feeling courageous, give it a try!
Macrame Banner Tutorial
Watch this tutorial for making a macrame banner. If you need a voiceover coaching you through the project versus just a visual, this video is for you!
Macrame Bunting Tutorial: A Variation
This video is not in English but shows very clearly how to do a variation on the finished edge of the bunting if you're feeling fancy.
