On November 15, 2009, I completed my first and last half marathon. When I crossed the finish line, I vowed to never run again. Running was not for me. The only reason I kept training and stuck with the race was because I had a great training partner. Day trip: Glass-bottom boats in San Marcos
I've lived in San Antonio for most of my life and have never been to ride the Aquarena Springs glass-bottom boats in San Marcos, less than an hour drive from the city. I wish I would have gone as a kid because apparently they had submarines, an underwater theater with mermaids and a famous swimming pig. Family fun at the San Antonio Botanical Garden
Considering I grew up in San Antonio and have lived here for most of my life, I am always amazed at the things I have yet to discover about our beautiful city.
