Shopping for a recliner is a sign you have arrived in your 30s. It’s the ultimate #adulting. But, luckily we don’t have to settle for any ugly old recliner. Comfort and style meet in these 13 pretty recliners that are lovely to look at and practical, too.
My sister in law recently moved into a new house, and I helped her with some furniture shopping. Her husband’s number 1 requirement for living furniture was comfort and that meant two new recliners. We found a gorgeous tufted recliner at Costco of all places!
But now that I’m shopping for my own recliner, Costco isn’t carrying that model anymore. Bummer. So I set out to find a new recliner that didn’t look like a traditional recliner. No frumpy pillows or oversized cushions here.
Just clean lines, delicate accents, and neutral colors.
Finding the Perfect Recliner
I’ve rounded up 13 pretty recliners that would fit perfectly into any farmhouse style decor.
1. Brylanehome Queen Anne Style Tufted Wingback Recliner
I’m in love with this recliner. It’s the perfect shade of ivory and with the tufted back, side wings, and curved legs it screams sophistication. To make sure it doesn’t look too formal in a farmhouse style home, I’d pair this with a more casual sofa and a throw pillow.
This recliner is probably my favorite. The tufted back and curved legs are perfection! The light gray is a great choice for a neutral that won’t get too dirty in real life with kids or pets. It has great reviews, and just might be the winner at my house.
If you prefer more clean lines, this recliner is a great option. The nailhead trim adds a nice touch to the otherwise simple design. This speckled gray color is beautiful and practical.
4.ProLounger Barley Tan Linen Push Back Recliner Chair
This recliner is a bit of a throwback to the more traditional recliner design, but instead of frumpy, this one just look comfy. To counter the extra cushions, it’s got nice rounded arms with the nailhead trim, and cute rounded feet, too. I feel like this one would be a winner to many husbands out there as a winning combination of comfort and style.
This tufted design is stunning. The choice of color on the legs would work really well with a variety of different floors, especially if you had really dark floors or really light floors and wanted a nice contrast. I love how the tufted back is the star of the show because the rest of the design is so simple.
Accent chairs are a great time to bring in prints and a little flair to your home decor. I prefer to keep most of our home pretty neutral, but all neutral colors and no patterns would be pretty boring. If I’m bringing in a print, I like to keep the colors more subdued, and this chair is a great example of how to do that.
This Wingback chair with nailhead trim is a less feminine option that would appeal to many different styles. I like how the feet have a little flair without being too fancy to keep the focus on the lines of the chair.
Sometimes simplicity is beautiful. This recliner doesn’t have a to of pizazz, but still would be a lovely addition to ant sitting area. The delicate curved feet bring an air of sophistication to the simple design.
This recliner is another favorite. It combines pretty much everything I love about a good chair. It has curved lines on the back and arms, a tufted back, nailhead trim, and beautiful feet. This chair would make a great focal point in a room.
10. Prescott Traditional Tweed Recliner
The simple yet elegant design of this chair is its selling point. With nothing too fancy, it could be dressed up or dressed down to fit any style of room.
The tufted back and nailhead trim on this recliner paired with the simple feet make it an understated, beautiful design. The light gray color is a great option for an everyday neutral and would work well in a room with other neutrals or some color.
12. Grayson Wingback Pushback Recliner
This wingback recliner doesn’t have the frilly touches some of the others do, but it’s still an eye-appealing option that might be a good compromise with the man of the house. The chunky feet give it stature and the bit of nailhead trim shows its thoughtful design.
The fabric choice on this recliner is a big winner in my book. I love fabrics with a little bit of texture to them to add interest to the overall room design. With the multicolored look it would do well paired with any neutrals in the room without having to worry about matching them. The nailhead trim and slightly angled feet add style to what looks like a very comfortable chair.
