My love of great photography started in my teenage years when my mom took up the hobby and turned it into a business. I always had fantastic photos of myself and my friends. Once I began working in the wedding industry, I had many photographer friends who were always willing to take photos for me as well. Once Gabriella was a few months old, I knew I needed a nice camera to capture the everyday moments I was missing between all of our professional photo shoots. Thankfully, my wonderful husband indulged me and got me a DSLR that I had no idea how to use.

The first picture I ever took with my Canon T2i.
I started by taking a basic class at a local camera shop and eventually took classes and workshops by several professional photographers I admire. With lots and lots of practice, I’ve figured out the basics of how to use my camera, but would like to work on making my pictures technically better. I am doing this Project 365 to inspire my creativity and help me to expand my skills to take better photos.
There are many ways to complete a photography project like this, but my goal will just be to complete it. I toyed with the idea of using daily prompts found online or themes for each day of the week, but I’m practical and know that won’t happen. So I have no rules except to take a photo every day. That’s it. I’ve got this. I can’t wait to see what happens and hope you’ll follow along.
